The purpose of the practicelaw library is to build and share resources with all members of the MSBA. So, participation in the practicelaw Development Community (PLDC) means you assign title to the Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA) all right, title, and interest, including copyright, in your contributions to the practicelaw library and the PLDC. This assignment is a transfer of the full ownership in and to the work, including all rights of reproduction, distribution, performance, display and the right to create derivative works. It is your intention that the MSBA owns the copyright in and to your contributions along with any and all attendant rights.
You also promise only to contribute original material; that you are the sole owner of any contribution; and that your contribution will not violate or infringe any existing copyright.
Sharing and Attribution: Whenever reasonably possible, the MSBA will publish resources from the PLDC to the practicelaw library with a description of the resources' contributors on the resource's practicelaw landing page (see sample). In addition, resources will be published to practicelaw under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License unless developers of the resource request alternative treatment by sending an email to helpdesk@mnbars.org stating the need for alternative treatment.
All terms of the Code of Conduct also apply to participation in the PLDC.
