Statz is an Anthropologist of Law at University of
Minnesota/Duluth, researching access to legal services in the Northland. Her
current work examines how socio-spatial dimensions of rurality influence legal
advocacy, rights mobilization, and individual and community health in northern
Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Mike Carlson is Practice Management Advisor for Minnesota State Bar
Association. Prior to joining MSBA, Mike practiced in the area of trademark and
business with Carlson Bailey and served
10 years as Reference Staff Attorney at Thomson Reuters.
Landon Ascheman is a top-rated criminal defense
attorney and owner of Ascheman Law. He focuses primarily on
Criminal Defense, representing individuals prosecuted by the State and Federal
Government. He spends much of his free time mentoring law students
and volunteering in the courts to serve those in need.
