Introduction to Legal Research Using Fastcase

When:  Aug 28, 2018 from 09:00 AM to 10:00 AM (CT)

Deadline to Register: Friday, August 24, 2018

WEBINAR ONLY

In this seminar, we'll review the basics of legal research using the Fastcase platform.

Fastcase is a member benefit at 50 state and regional bar associations. It's also one of the most popular benefits at the Minnesota State Bar Association. In addition to primary source materials, Fastcase hosts secondary materials, dockets, and valuable LexBlog content. This program is designed for new Fastcase users or attorneys who might like a simple refresher on how to conduct basic legal research. We'll cover these basics:

  • identifying and reviewing scope of Fastcase databases
  • drafting Boolean queries for Fastcase (versus other common platforms)
  • reviewing results with Fastcase tools
  • print, email, and other delivery options
  • using alerts and saving searches
  • Fastcase's 'bad law bot'

Plus, we'll explore unique Fastcase features and answer your questions.
