The MSBA Real Property
Certification Board is hosting: Title Standards, White Pages & Survey
Guidelines.
Join us on Tuesday, April 9th
for a CLE on Title Standards, White Pages & Survey Guidelines.
This course covers two topics. In the first part, the
Title Standards ( Green Pages) will identify title issues and possible
solutions, while the White Pages detail which documents are required to transfer
or to clear title. This course will review purposes of the Title Standards and
the White Pages, how you to use them and how they are commonly applied together.
The second portion of this course will cover how to use the new Legal
Description and the Survey Guidelines (Grey Pages). The Survey Guidelines are
not title standards. They are a starting point for analyzing a legal description
and survey. This session will use examples to demonstrate the application of the
Guidelines to problem legal descriptions and as an aid to understanding
surveys.
This course is designed to help
prepare for the Real Property Certification exam. This presentation is also a good review for any attorney practicing
in this
area.
