What Solo and Small-Firm Lawyers Can Learn From Nonprofit Law Firms

When:  Nov 20, 2017 from 01:00 PM to 02:00 PM (CT)

Nonprofit law firms have been with us for ten years, yet it's remarkable how little most lawyers understand them.  Some, such as Minnesota's own Gender Justice, blaze trails through impact litigation and policy advocacy.  Others, such as Utah's Open Legal Services, are creating new models to deliver affordable legal services to clients in the justice gap.  Join us for a conversation with Gender Justice's Lisa Stratton  and Open Legal Services' Shantelle Argyle to learn how nonprofit law firms complement both public and private lawyers, and how they can serve as referral partners, teachers, and change agents in the community.  Brought to you by the MSBA Solo & Small Section and the Collaborative Community Law Initiative .

Lunch and registration will begin at 11:45 a.m.

Special meal requests must be made by Thursday, November 16.

The program will begin at 12:00 p.m.
