Love Letter from the Boondocks - Debunking the Myths of Rural Justice

When:  Oct 27, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 01:30 PM (CT)

Rurality encompasses a wide variety of people, identities, legal needs and strengths but we don’t always talk about it that way. Join legal anthropologist Michele Statz, former Tribal Court Judge Jessica Ryan, and immigration lawyer Sara Karki for a discussion about legal needs and legal services in rural Minnesota. Drawing on their experiences, they’ll talk about common misperceptions and provide insights about working in greater Minnesota. We’ll highlight the diversity found in rural Minnesota and discuss how to serve the community effectively.

CLE credit is available and all sessions are free of charge thanks to our Pro Bono Week Sponsors!
