Retired Ramsey County District Court judges discuss
“tough” cases included in the book collection, Tough Cases: Judges
Tell the Stories of Some of the Hardest Decisions They’ve Ever
Made. Both judges contributed their personal stories to this
collection of thirteen cases. In honor of Constitution Day, the judges
will discuss constitutional issues in their contributions to the book. They will
also describe their unique insights into what makes a case “tough.”
Registration will begin at 11:30 am, the
CLE program will run from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

The courthouse is situated between 4th Street and Kellogg Boulevard, between St. Peter and Wabasha Streets in downtown St. Paul. Please note that there is security at all entries to the courthouse, so allow for extra time to go through security. The Law Library is located on the 18th floor. Two of the six elevators go all the way to the 18th floor. If you end up on an elevator that only goes to the 17th floor you should exit the elevator and push the call button to get an elevator to 18, or you can exit on the 16th floor and take the southeast stairway up to the 18th floor. Parking is available at several ramps on Wabasha Street, across from the courthouse, and in the block between 4th and 5th Streets.
There will be no remote participation available.
