Law & Literature:
The HCBA's Law & Literature CLE series provide a
unique way to earn special board credits, such as the elimination of bias CLE
credits. Led by experienced facilitators, these popular CLE programs use short
articles and works of fiction as a springboard for active discussions on legal
ethics and bias. Stories will be sent to you once you register and must be
read in advance.

Elimination of Bias Session: the overall goal of the
Eliminaton of Bias program is to prompt discussion among participants about the
ways in which and the extent to which attorney speech and conduct can be viewed
by others as indicating some degree of bias, prejudice, or insensitivity on
issues of racial fairness and equality. Additionally, the program will involve a
facilitated discussion and thoughtful exploration by participants of a number of
topics which bear on the racial sensitivity of attorney speech and conduct.
