Law and Literature Trial Trilogy: Race, Gender, And Bias in Three Acts
The law embodies a perspective, but whose?  These three law and literature CLEs look at the role that racial and gender biases have in the law through a discussion of three literary works: Susan Keating Glaspell’s short story, “A Jury of Her Peers,” Ann Petry’s short story, “The Witness;” and Reginald Rose’s play, “Twelve Angry Men.” For each CLE, participants will be sent the play or short story in advance to read ahead of the CLE, and should come prepared to discuss.

Trial Act II: “The Witness”
The February 25, 2021 CLE will discuss Ann Petry’s short story, “The Witness.”

Don't miss Trial Act I on 1/28 and Trial Act III on 3/25! Register for all three, or just one.
