"Nurse one vice in your bosom. Give it the attention it deserves and let your virtues spring up modestly around it."
Thornton Wilder, The Matchmaker (1954)
Tax matters are the core of my practice. Around that core has sprung up an estates and trusts practice that includes more comprehensive planning and drafting, in no small part because I find the interplay of income tax and transfer tax fascinating (get a life, Bob). And because many of my clients are closely held businesses and their principals, there have also sprung up matters of entity selection, succession planning and governance. I welcome opportunities to collaborate with other lawyers as peripheral matters spring up and I need “a little help from my friends”, just as I welcome opportunities to assist others through contract work.
